Position Description: The Underwriting Assistant is responsible for issuing all bind and endorsements requests for all Personal Umbrella and Comprehensive Personal Liability products. He/She is responsible for reviewing, maintaining and implementing guidelines for personal lines of business for all states while working exclusively with wholesale brokerages.

• Must be functional in the use of the Internet, Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to effectively and independently manage workload while exhibiting sound judgment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners.
• Ability to be creative and adaptable in a changing business environment.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior Insurance experience is preferred.

In New York City, NY the pay range for this role is $50,000. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This range is specific to New York City, NY and may not be applicable to other locations.
