Position Summary: The Senior Claims Specialist is responsible for the coverage analysis, investigation, reserving, negotiation and settlement of auto liability and umbrella claims.   

 

 

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee 100 to 150 active files.  
  • Review and analyze coverage on policies.
  • Determine potential subrogation and fraud within complex cases.                                                                                
  • Provide timely updates to management and underwriting.
  • Travel to varies locations to provide exceptional customer service to clients                                                                    
  • Partner with key areas of the business, such as underwriting and safety.

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with auto liability claims including bodily injury, property damage.
  • National claims handling experience
  • Claims involve unlitigated and litigated matters with high exposure with the ability to lead staff in the future.
  • Ability to travel to mediations, clients, trials as needed including some overnight stays.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to partner with our internal and external stakeholders.

 

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 10- 15 years of experience in handling claims.
  • Adjuster license preferred.
