EUC-Hardware Asset Management Analyst; Stamford, CT

Position Summary

The EUC-Hardware Asset Management Analyst is responsible for meticulously and proactively overseeing the complete lifecycle of end-user hardware assets including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. Customer-focused professional with a strong technical background who can ensure optimal asset utilization, maintain inventory accuracy, and drive cost-saving efficiencies. This role ensures compliance with IT asset management policies, maintains data accuracy in ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Asset lifecycle management: Manage the entire hardware asset lifecycle, from procurement and deployment to maintenance, retrieval, and disposal, in accordance with company policy.
  • Inventory management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all EUC hardware assets, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, within the asset management database (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Vendor coordination: Act as a liaison with vendors for the procurement, maintenance, and disposal of assets, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective services.
  • Process improvement: Develop, document, and improve hardware asset management processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Deployment & Recovery Support

  • Support Level 2 Help Desk with provisioning and staging devices for new hires and refresh cycles.
  • Package and ship devices to remote users or offices, maintaining shipping records and tracking numbers.
  • Coordinate with vendors (e.g., Whalley for U.S. assets) for assessments, redeployment, or disposal.
  • Assist in recovery of assets from users and ensure timely updates in ServiceNow.

Compliance & Auditing

  • Perform routine audits to ensure 100% accuracy of IT asset records.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between ServiceNow records and physical stock.
  • Ensure adherence to IT asset management policies, including security and disposal standards.
  • Maintain Certificates of Destruction (CoD) for retired/disposed assets.

 

Reporting & Analysis

  • Generate daily/weekly inventory reports for IT leadership, including stock levels, warranty expirations, assets pending recovery, and redeployable vs. retired hardware.
  • Provide executive-level summaries of stock availability, backlog, and compliance metrics.
  • Identify trends in usage and recommend adjustments to purchasing or stocking strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with ServiceNow (or other ITAM systems), Excel, and reporting dashboards. Familiarity with Intune or SCCM a plus.
  • Inventory Knowledge: Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, IT stockroom operations, and vendor logistics.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain highly accurate records and reconcile large data sets.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with IT teams, vendors, and business units.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking ability to manage stock levels, shipments, and reporting deadlines.
  • Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with ITIL asset management principles, corporate governance, and data security requirements.
